Table View
The Table View presents permission data in a spreadsheet-like grid format, making it easy to sort, filter, and analyze permissions across your Active Directory environment.
Accessing Table View
To access the Table View:
- Generate a report or load an existing one
- Click on the "Table View" tab in the report viewer
Note: When you first switch to the Table View tab, there may be a brief delay as the application generates the table data.

Understanding the Table View
The Table View presents each permission assignment as a separate row in the grid, with these columns:

- Object Type - The type of object (User, Group, Computer, etc.)
- Distinguished Name - The full distinguished name of the object
Principal Properties
- Principal - The name of the security principal (user/group) with permission
- Principal Type - The type of principal (User, Group, Computer, etc.)
- Disabled - Whether the account is disabled
- Is Group Member - Whether this permission is through group membership
- Parent Group - If through group membership, the name of the parent group
Permission Properties
- Allow/Deny - Whether the permission is Allow or Deny
- Permissions - The specific permissions granted or denied
- Inherited - Whether the permission is inherited from a parent object
- Apply To - Where the permission applies (this object only, child objects, etc.)
Metadata
- Created Date - When the object was created
- Modified Date - When the object was last modified
Filtering the Table View
The Table View provides powerful filtering capabilities:
Quick Filter Dropdown
Use the "Filter" dropdown to quickly filter by common scenarios:
- All Items - Show all permission entries
- Direct Permissions Only - Show only permissions assigned directly (not through groups or inheritance)
- Group Member Permissions Only - Show only permissions assigned through group membership
- Inherited Permissions Only - Show only permissions inherited from parent objects
- Explicit Permissions Only - Show only permissions explicitly set on objects (not inherited)
Search Box
Use the "Search" text box to find specific text in any column. This is useful for:
- Finding permissions for a specific user
- Locating specific permission types
- Focusing on a particular OU or container
Column Filters
Each column has its own filter capability:
- Click the filter icon in any column header
- Choose from the provided filter options or enter a custom filter
- The table will update to show only matching rows
Sorting the Table View
To sort the data:
- Click any column header to sort by that column
- Click again to toggle between ascending and descending order
- Hold Shift while clicking to sort by multiple columns
Grouping Data
The Table View supports grouping for more complex analysis:
- Drag any column header to the "Drag a column header here to group by that column" area
- The data will be grouped according to the values in that column
- You can add multiple grouping levels by dragging additional column headers
- Expand or collapse groups as needed

Resizing and Reordering Columns
Customize the Table View layout:
- Drag column headers to reorder them
- Drag the dividers between column headers to resize columns
- Double-click the divider to auto-size a column to fit its contents
Exporting Data
Export the Table View data for external analysis:
- Use the "Export" buttons at the top of the view
- Choose from Excel, PDF, or HTML formats
- The export will include all currently visible data (respecting any active filters)
