After logging in, the All Groups page shows all Active Directory groups you are authorized to manage. This page is your starting point for all group management tasks.
The groups grid displays all groups where you are set as the manager (via managedBy or msExchCoManagedByLink) — either directly or through group membership. See How to set up a manager for details on how this works.
Each row shows information about one group. The columns depend on what your administrator has enabled in the Fields configuration. Common columns include:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | The group’s AD name (cn) |
| Description | The group’s description attribute |
| Group Type | Security or Distribution |
| Group Scope | Global, Universal, or Domain Local |
| Members | The number of direct members in the group |
| The group’s email address (if set) | |
| Managed By | Who manages the group |
| Notes | The group’s info attribute |
| Created / Modified | Timestamps from AD |
Your administrator controls which columns are visible. If you need to see a column that is not shown, contact your administrator.
Use the search functionality at the top of the grid to filter groups by any visible column. Type a search term and the grid will filter in real time, matching across all displayed columns.
You can customize the grid to suit your preferences:
Your column preferences (visibility and order) are saved automatically and persist between sessions.
Click on a group name to open the group members view, where you can see who is in the group and manage the membership.
If your administrator has enabled group editing, you can edit group properties (description, email, notes) directly from the grid. Click the edit button on a group row to open the edit dialog. See Editing Group Properties for details.
If exports are enabled, you can export the groups list to Excel (XLSX) or PDF format using the export buttons above the grid. See Exporting Data for details.
If the Multi-Group Add feature is enabled by your administrator, you can select multiple groups using checkboxes, then click the “Add Members” button to add the same members to all selected groups in a single operation.
